Just flashed the 2388 firmware. It's a complete "default" firmware, but finally a recent version. The 2361 was great, i'll test this for some time and let you know.
No major issue for the moment, working fine even if I got a "program closed" calling from the Contacts, and this issue is very annoing 'cause the contacts needs to be opened again. This is not a 2388 directly related bug, other firmwares do this as well. The ferrari did the same while i don't remeber 2361 doing this. It seems to me that 2361 was a little bit faster. It's just feeling, but the phone runs fine, better then the older firmwares.
Since it is a complete firmware (all languages and content) it issuggested for the people who has a very old firmware, expecially pre 2312.
Running 2388 also, no issues whatsoever. No application closed for Contacts yet ever, on any firmware
I'm starting to think that it may happen only when using non english software. When I had the 2312beta it never happened. With the ferrari firmware was constant. With the 2361 in 5 days nothing. With this again. i'll set the phone in english to see what happens. Maybe it happens only in italian? The guy I updated the phone to the ferrari firmware had the same problem and still has it on the ferrari.
Hmm, now have the 2388 up and running, looks nice, but nu dutch language. So no i-tap dictionairies in dutch. Text message's are a punishment now. So i tryed to install the ferrari firmware, but it won't install. Downloaded it several times, from different site's, decompressed it wit 7-zip and winrar. Nothing so far. tryed rds lite 3.9 4.1 4.2 4.3 but everytime the message flash faild comes up in rsd lite. Can someone please help me whit this?
Well I've finally got round to updating mine to 2388 after months of running development versions... I've got to say it's even better than the previous version I was using, and that in itself was pretty damned good.
2283C4 is what I have, Stuart do you have any info on that build?
I purchased the phone off Ebay, has been running very well, for my purposes. Only hitch or bug was lack of RAM. Fixed that with Swiss Manager, free version.. no more bug..
I''ve been looking for an application that will allow for a larger graphic, on incoming/outgoing calls on the contact list, there''s one for the Nok**, but don''t believe it''d work on the Z8. Any ideas, or suggestions.. or just live with it, for now.
could anyone tell me the latest firmware version for the Z8 wich has dutch language support (including itap)?

you might want to check the foxcopy Monster Pack in the Z8 section on modmymoto.com, I think he put Dutch in it, plus it''s the latest known firmware too.
