I have found the Ferrari firmware on the italian site.

There it said that the firmware is nicer and has some add-ons. According to what I read it should also be possible to replace that firmware with the previous one (if you have it on hand). Has anyone any experience with this change?

I flashed the ferrari firmware a couple of days ago.
It's a 2312 build, so this seems to be the newest build avaible. It has a different intro and shutdown sound and animation, some ringtone has been added and a custom theme, that has adifferent font than the usual, and I like it very much.
If you already have an official ( i mean not beta) 2312 firmware and it is working, maybe it is not the case to update, but if you have an older version, AND YOU ACCEPT THE RISK OF A DIY FLASH, then you should upgrade as soon as possible.
The flash is easy, just set the phone as a modem, connect it after you open the flash tool, load the firmware and go.

A little more info:
Previously i had the
46.04.42g motobuild 2312c5 not final flashed by motorola, the Ferrari edition firmware is  46.04.64g motobuild 2312c5.

I currently have 2312C5_Z version (46.04.64G) on my phone and it's working fine...

What do you exactly mean by "risk of a DIY Flash"?

Is it possible to flash the above Firmware and replace the Ferrari one if I don't like that?

I mean that if something goes wrong the phone may need to be sent to motorola for a new flash (DIY = Do It Yourself)

Since you already have a 2312 it is possible that you won't see any improvement flashing the ferrari firmware, but yes you can flash the Ferrari and if you don't like it you can flash again a "normal" firmware, that you can find on the italian site http://motorolarazr.forumcommunity.net/

I've tried the Ferrari and the 2312C5_Z and they're exactly the same, except for the Ferrari branding and default languages and font.

Seems the characters after 2312 refer to the specific country/branding, so in essence it is the same software.

Yes, this is true, but while the motobuild is the same, the dates are different, so differences may be in the versions. In this case maybe just the ferrari logos, sounds and theme.
