does anyone know how to setup mms on the z8 for cellular one? ive got internet to work but i cant send or recieve pictures. i took it to cellular one and the couldnt figure it out. i keep getting error code 5120. i tried contacting motorola but they couldnt help. any information would be helpful. thanks
Hi, i had this same exact problem with att mms settings which all my data was correct however it ended up being a simple "proxy" setting and the correct port which fixed it after which it worked perfect. Not familiar with Cellular one but i do know i had a hell of time getting mms to work on my unlocked z8 and of course in the usa att would not help since theres not even a phone they offer with similar settings via over the air packets they usually send to correct its most likely a port/proxy settings in advanced settings in the internet options if i remember correctly. Anyway don't know if this helps your case but it did work for me.

hi as my z8 at the moment is getting repaired i don't remember the exact menu however from what i remember basically with the z8 you have to manually set up internet and mms by using the info that is posted on this site. HOWEVER once you do that mms will NOT work unless you enable proxy and input the proxy address. basically you do not set this in the mms menu you have to enable the proxy in the INTERNET profile. I think its in the edit menu then options then advanced then find proxy enable that then input this info where needed. proxy address 66.209.011.032 and port is 8080. If port 8080 don't work try 80. after just send a mms to yourself and it should work sms should work automatically once att profile is setup mms needs as i said to use att profile as the preffered profile in your menu. than after all should work. If this doesn't help i may have a txt file somewhere as i had and will have to do it again anyway when i get my handset back. I'll update it once i have the exact info if this doesn't work. Another thing i did first is since i am in the USA and the phone was never released it has profiles that are default from the UK i just deleted them as they are no use and just made a ATT profile. I found that made it easier to set att as the default for most of my applications including the mms and messaging apps. There is a post on this forum that has the basic info to set up the mms profile and the internet and all you have to do is configure that proxy and the z8 should be fine.
