is the new firmware test near complete? is there been a final release date confirmed? will it be this month? is the firmware a big improvement or slight improvement? wheres all the info?
There's no "release date" announced, nor are there any publicly available change logs. I have no information about when any new firmwares will be made publicly available.

What I have managed to secure is the possibility for a few users to be given early access to a possible new firmware release. Currently there are no new users being given access to these firmwares, although that may change in the future.

thats a bit shite like. motorola get off ya arses and do somthing rite!!
