The service centre for the time being seems to be out of consideration but the last resort unfortunately due to some previous experience of mine with them.

Once again, my problem is - during the last known good state of my phone - the usb selection was assigned as modem. I presumed the phone - although it seems to have crashed - would hopefully remember this setting as I plugged, it would be captured by RSD lite.

But unfortunately if failed  even if I waited for a reasonably long time. Moreover, not being able to get to the flash mode via * and #, I feel I am tied up and unable to do anything to remedy the default 

Until some alternative approach is revealed I will have to bear that annoying situation.

then comes the most obvious question of mine of which I can't help asking
any chance to fix it rather than going to the bloody service center?
for example will smart-clip or any other hardware help me fix it?

having mistakenly unplugged the usb cable whilst the flashing of my rizr z8, the phone freaked out and ended up with complete crash.  the phone is trying to boot; you see the moto icon followed by hellomoto text during the booting and all of a sudden the screen becomes total yellow, blue or magenta each different time. well, this seems to be the least of the problems because, no matter what i have done to remedy this default (properly reflash the phone) to enter the flash mode via pressing * and #, it did not help.
i am, for a long time, into the moto modding and reading almost all the major forums but i was unable to find a specific solution to the thing i am suffering from lately. so, anyone of you over there to advise / suggest what i should be doing to recover my dead rizr z8 as i don't want to hassle with some incompetent service centre.
