One of the questions people have been asking ever since the release of the Z8 (actually before the phone's release) is "Is PC Suite compatible with Windows Vista?" ... well, it isn't, but could it be that Motorola are soon to release a version which is compatible?

 

While we have no firm news from Motorola on this subject, rumours have started to surface around the internet to indicate that Motorola are indeed readying a version of PC Suite which works on Windows Vista.

 

The background to this issue is very similar to that which SonyEricsson have recently been through - their version of PC Suite also didn't work on Windows Vista, however, an update released a couple of months ago fixed the problem for SE users.

 

What does this mean for Moto Z8 users? Well, it's been reported on various forums that the main problem with SE's PC Suite was an installer issue - nothing to do with the actual program's functionality. If this is the case for Motorola as well, then it shouldn't be too hard for them to create an updated version of PC Suite which will work correctly with Windows Vista.
