Motorola are still supporting UIQ development... honest! Print
Motorola, in the form of their development team MOTODEV, yesterday issued a press release confirming their continuing support for UIQ and (re)launching their UIQ development suite. Full details are below.

Motorola, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson recently announced our intent to unite Symbian, S60 and UIQ to create one open mobile software platform. Together with other founding members we plan to establish the Symbian Foundation to provide a royalty-free open platform that will lead to more opportunity for you to supercharge your innovation to deliver new services and compelling mobile experiences.

What does this mean for you?

  • MOTODEV will continue to provide you with everything you need to deliver winning applications and experiences across all our key platforms - Symbian, Linux and Microsoft - with the goal of providing a dynamic and differentiated portfolio of great, competitive products

  • With the launch of MOTODEV Studio for UIQ Beta, we remain committed to supporting you with resources, tools and technical services to help accelerate your success

  • We look forward to working with you to deliver applications for our UIQ products through 2009 to meet specific customer and market demands

We continue our commitment to platforms that are open, scalable and have a supportive ecosystem. We are dedicated to meeting and exceeding your expectations, and we will update you as the new Foundation progresses. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best regards,

Christy Wyatt
