| Z8 firmware updates go live! |
|
UPDATED: We've just received word from one of our readers, who's obviously been keeping a keen eye on things, that Motorola have FINALLY released a public firmware update for the Z8.
To update the phone, you'll need to download Motorola's software update tool, available on their website or in our downloads section.
Once downloaded, install the application then connect your Z8 by USB cable. (the phone is only detected by the software update program when in USB Modem mode) You should now see an updated firmware available for your phone.
UPDATE: It seems Motorola have killed their website, either because people are actually going there for once, or because they've deliberately taken the site down. However, the update software is still available from our Downloads Section.
(sorry, no screenshots at present, as all our Z8s are running updated firmware anyway) Readers have left 19 comments. 2. neptune, Registered Motorola Site seems to be down.
